Suzuki SX4, or more known with X Over (Cross Over), is a sporty Suzuki car which released after Swift and Grand Vitara. In an polling held by Otomotif magazine, it more popular then Toyota Rush and Daihatsu Terios. Below, we will discuss about it's technical review and performance.

In my recent post, we have talked about Daihatsu Terios. Now, we will review it's competitor which has higher cost and more brand believed, Toyota Rush.

Both PT Toyota Astra Motor (TAM) and PT Astra Daihatsu Motor are hoping to sell one thousand units of the Toyota Rush/Daihatsu Terios per month in 2007, a 1500cc car that seats up to seven people.

Daihatsu Terios, new SUV car which just already released by Daihatsu in the beginning of this year in Indonesia, seems to be a good choice for sporty lover customer. It looks smart with a new purposeful front end featuring a deep front bumper topped by a flat but curved bonnet. The rear end has a side opening door with a rear-mounted spare wheel and a window line that appears to wrap around into the main body of the car. It has a hint of RAV4 about it, which is not surprising considering Daihatsu’s parent company is Toyota.

Toyoyta Yaris SR 1.8 powered by new 131bhp (133 DIN hp) 1.8-litre Dual VVT-i engine, suspension and steering tuned for sportier performance, 17-inch alloy wheels and body styling kit with side skirts and rear spoiler, VSC and Traction Control as standard. If this sounds amazing to you, beginning with the 1st of April, you can have your own version of the Toyota Yaris for ?12,995 (three-door). Yaris's safety performance begins from a five-star Euro NCAP adult passenger safety rating and a standard-fit driver's knee airbag. The SR 1.8 is equipped with intelligent timing for both intake and exhaust valves. Maximum output of 131bhp is achieved at 6,000rpm, with 173Nm of torque delivered at 4,400rpm, 62mph acceleration in 9.3 seconds, combined cycle fuel economy of 39.2mpg. Carbon dioxide emissions are 170g/km.

If this is not enough, we carry on by listing some other of the Yaris SR 1.8 characteristics: Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) are provided as standard, in addition to ABS, Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist (BA).
To harmonize its sportier performance, it features a rear roof spoiler, side skirts, chrome sports exhaust, LED tail lights and deeper front and rear bumpers, the front fitted with integrated fog lights.

Inside, the SR 1.8 is equipped with sports seats and an upholstery fabric. There's also a leather trimmed steering wheel, chrome trim detailing and an amber-lit Optitron instrument display with analogue read-outs.

It also features climate control air conditioning with pollen filter, Smart Entry and Start system, six-speaker audio system with CD player and MP3/WMA file playing function, electrically adjustable door mirrors and front fog lamps.It is available both in 3 and 5 doors versions.
