The Honda DN-01 combines the user friendliness of a scooter with the image of a performance cruiser and totally original, futuristic looks. Its unique selling point is the Human Friendly Transmission, a CVT programmed to work like a six-speed manual or a full automatic.

It uses a V-twin engine developed from the Deauville’s 65bhp, 680cc unit. But instead of conventional gears, the DN-01’s engine is connected to a hydraulic pump, which sends hydraulic fluid to a turbine driving the rear wheel via a shaft.

Similar to Suzuki and Kanzen, Yamaha also tries to catch peoples’ eyes with something mysterious. Being a manufacturer who succeed to build skutik (automatic bike) trend in Indonesia, Yamaha bring it’s future skutik concept in the Jakarta Motorcycle Show. The name of the concept bike is S3+, stand for ‘Sharp, Sporty, and Stylish‘. Although this prototype has been shown to public, it doesn’t mean that this bike will be sold to the market. There still many components that are very expensive so that causing it will not economic enaough to be mass produced.

There have not any specifications published. But, auto media guest that this bike is an electrical bike, because it does not have any exhaust muffler. Will the next Yamaha Mio Soul seems like this bike? No body knows…

After releasing a new type of sport bike named Honda CS1 (City Sport) about 2 monts ago, Honda plan to release a new type of automatic bike. The name of this newest automatic variant which sold in Indonesia is Honda Beat. It seems not so different compared to the former type, Vario. There still many characteristic features of Vario which sill implemented with this new type, such Side Stand Switch and Parking Brake Lock. In Thailand, this variant named with Icon.

Physically, the appearance is almost the same with Honda Icon. It also used 108 CC 4 stroke engine with CVT transmision. The available colours choice are Fusion Blue, Hip Hip Orange, Pop Pink, Hard Rock Black, Techno White, and Electro Red.
